Weekly Group Meditation
Each Tuesday evening from 7:30PM until 8:30PM, Anne Marie Cummings guides us through Shamatha, or "peaceful abiding", meditation. By learning a simple breathing technique you will relieve stress and address the complexities, obstacles, and joys of meditation. Ideal for beginners as well as students who have an established practice they would like to enhance in a group setting.
The class begins with a fifteen minute relaxation exercise, followed by a seated, formal meditation and an acknowledging of thoughts as they arise. It is by noticing our stream of thoughts that we begin to train our minds toward natural stillness. The class concludes with a brief discussion of the recommended reading, which will change every three months.
While reservations are not required, they are preferred, as space is limited. However, don't be afraid to drop in! All are welcome.

This Month's Intention
Taken from the writings of Louise L. Hay
Count your blessings
Many of the stresses of daily life are direct results of our constant struggle for material success. We often forget that the most precious things in life don't cost a thing. Take a few moments each day to count your blessings: the love of your family and friends; your good health; your freedom to enjoy the gifts of nature. Think of yourself as free from the trappings of materialism - without them, you are at peace.
